Director of Major & Planned Gifts

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Major & Planned Gifts to join our leadership team in Boise, Idaho!
The Director of Major & Planned Gifts is responsible for leading the development and integration of a comprehensive major gift program for St. Lukeâ€™s Health Foundation to fulfill the mission of St. Lukeâ€™s. The individual will work proactively with significant members of the community including members of St. Lukeâ€™s boards/committees, leadership, physicians, and professional advisors to identify, cultivate, and solicit major/planned gift prospects at the $10,000-plus level and/or a planned gift to St. Lukeâ€™s.
The ideal candidate will:
Be a professional and collaborative team player with superb writing/communication skills to translate medical information into lay language.
Become a subject matter expert for one or more of the hospitalâ€™s service lines and serve as a Foundation liaison in assisting physicians, program directors and administration with capital and programmatic funding needs within those service lines.
Develop and implement strategies to cultivate/solicit a portfolio of 100 prospects.
Work collaboratively with a skilled team of fundraising professionals.
Seek opportunities to represent St. Lukeâ€™s at community functions, networking and nurturing new and existing relationships.
Bachelorâ€™s degree or commensurate experience
8 years' professional work experience in Major/Planned Gifts solicitation/donor development, preferably in a healthcare environment.
