Job Description:
The USC School of Cinematic Arts, Office of Advancement, is seeking a creative and talented Development Coordinator
to join its team. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Development Coordinator will assist in planning, building and implementing processes for the School of Cinematic Arts fundraising programs and projects. The Development Coordinator will support the SCA Office of Advancement by providing strategic information management processes including outreach, donor relations, and prospect research.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Annual Giving with solicitation campaigns and all Annual Fund operations of the school.
Create and track acknowledgments for all Annual Fund programs, in addition to other channels of organizational support.
Oversee management of the monthly alumni e-newsletter.
Conduct individual donor prospecting and research.
Support donor and prospect management, auditing and reporting per University Advancement policies and guidelines.
Regularly assist with constituent data integrity projects, including bio/demographic information, prospect pool and pipeline analysis using University and school specific databases.
Provide timely, relevant and accurate delivery of constituent information and data analysis to guide donor and prospect identification and portfolio management activities.
Analyze, manage and present analysis, insights and actionable recommendations to advancement staff.
Respond to constituent queries and concerns by phone line, in-person and email account(s) on a daily basis.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated experience in fundraising; working knowledge of direct mail strategy and implementation and fundraising database software.
Have passion, creativity and intellectual curiosity to learn, innovate and create useful and effective business solutions.
Strong writing skills to produce original and effective solicitation materials, publications, e-communications, acknowledgement letters and other correspondence, reports and documents using correct grammar, syntax and punctuation .
Have strong critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Ability to maintain and manage all top social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
Recognize the importance of data quality, integrity, and confidentiality in the context of a dynamic and high-performing advancement team.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to move multiple projects forward simultaneously
Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality work product on a consistent, reliable basis in a fast-paced work environment with ambitious goals. Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 2 years, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: General office experience, including research. Demonstrated analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and customer relations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience: 3 years
