Responsibilities:

This position provides administrative support and technical assistances to the Chief Advancement and Communications Officer and ensures that functions managed by the Chief Advancement and Communication Officer operate according to established guidelines, policies and standard procedures.  This position provides administrative support for the office of advancement and promotes equity and inclusion.

Assist with alumni development.

Conduct research relating to expanding college advancement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

NOTE: Must be available to work evenings and weekends and able to travel between campuses and to off-site locations.

NOTE: This position will be located at both Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie Campuses with Brooklyn Park as the home campus.

PLEASE NOTE: To be qualified for this position, you must meet all of the following Minimum Qualifications. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experiences sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below.

Minimum Qualifications:

ENGLISH: Knowledge of English sufficient to speak, read, understand, and respond to written and spoken communications with internal and external customers.

MATH: Knowledge of math sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, calculate percentages and use simple formulas.

BOOKKEEPING: Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures sufficient to maintain accurate budget records and reports.

TYPING/KEYBOARDING: Skill in keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy.

DATA ENTRY PERFORMANCE: Skill in data entry sufficient to maintain accurate records; compile, sort and verify data accuracy.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Skill in customer service sufficient to answer phones, interact in person and online to provide effective general and specialized office support with courtesy and respect (this requires tact, positive problem solving, empathy, and the ability to organize ideas logically.

WORD PROCESSING/SPREADSHEETS: Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and other software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents, including spreadsheets, tables, charts and graphs to track projects and activities.

DEVELOPMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROGRAMMATIC PROCEDURES: Ability to analyze and make recommendations to management for new or revised administrative and program practices and procedures for smooth and efficient office operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

One year experience providing administrative support to a senior administrator.

Experience using Outlook for calendar management.

Experience using Office 365 and SharePoint.

Experience working well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate to a variety of stakeholders.

Experience working independently in a fast paced, complex environment.

Accounting/Budgeting/Expense Experiences: Knowledge sufficient to analyze and interpret financial information, records and reports; recommend solutions, compile records, reports and budget requests.

Experience writing board minutes and knowledge of parliamentary procedures.

Knowledge and experience in using donor management software.

Knowledge and experience of fundraising in a non-profit environment.
