Duties and Responsibilities:
Proposal Writing (70%)
Research, identify, and secure financial support through potential government, individual, corporate and private foundation funding sources.
Coordinate the development, writing and submission of funding proposals and grant applications.
Strategically develop new content needed to tell the SNAHC story, impact, and vision for the future, and carry out processes efficiently to gather and develop the written material.
In collaboration with the Development Director, engage with department managers in the early stages of grant planning, as well as during the proposal development stage to ensure the proposal is completed.
Assign tasks for completing and monitor completion of funding proposals and grant applications.
Build ongoing relationships with program/ funding officers working on issues addressed in the targeted fundraising initiatives.
Assist with budget development for fundraising proposals.
Awards Management (30%)
Support the implementation of grant activities as necessary during the transition from grant proposal to grant management.
Prepare and maintain department records (such as grant files, internal/external stats), maintain grant records on GrantTracker ,
Ensure compliance with agency requirements and/or funding source regulations and notify supervisor of unusual situations.
Coordinate timely and effective fund reporting as necessary or requested; assist in the oversight of timely production for all deliverables tied to deliverable-based funding.
Support the development of a strategic fundraising strategy, incorporating targeted funders and timelines, building relationships with funders and preparing fundraising materials.
Lead the production of special letters, gift acknowledgments, and other communications with donors and friends of SNAHC.
Maintain positive working relationships with funding sources, and community agencies.
