Overview
The Sponsorship and Promotions Manager will implement strategies for expanding, generating and executing sponsorships, promotions, and donations of all kinds including “in-kind” donations that support the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s mission and programs.
Responsibilities
Responsibility for and accountable for raising annual sponsorship goal of $750,000
Represent the Science Center in the most professional manner; Adhere to ethical practices.
Responsible for all aspects of sponsor development from research of potential sponsors, identification, cultivation, and face to face request
Develops and implements partner centered
sponsorship and promotional partnerships in support of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s
mission, galleries programs, films and exhibits.
Cultivating, managing, enhancing, tracking and maintaining sponsorship, promotional partnerships,
and in-kind donations.
Develop growth strategy for new and current sponsors
Organizes and supports cultivation events for new and current sponsors
Arrange sponsorship meetings and prepare supporting materials. Communicate with Director to ensure no overlap in partnership development
Ensures prompt sponsorship acknowledgement and recognition
Writing, assembling, and submitting mutually beneficial partnerships specifically in support of Science Center
mission, programs, galleries, films, and exhibits.
Generate and/or edit professional materials for presentations, recap, and internal / external
communications as required in cooperation with Director / institutional advancement department
Prepare and/or support preparation of periodic reports documenting and demonstrating compliance
as required in cooperation with Director / institutional advancement department
Communicate effectively with supervisor and ensure open communication with all departments for
collaboration, and distribution of information
Work cooperatively with all divisions to manage partner / sponsor acknowledgement and relationships on all internal and external printed, electronic, and recorded promotional and sponsorship materials, sponsored areas, and vehicles as required and expected
Maintain copious records and provide weekly updates to supervisor.
Support the Science Center's mission by maintaining a presence in the community
through partner engagement in off-site promotions, retail partnerships, and collaborate with departments to create
appearance opportunities and sponsor needs for public / education programs
at major events such as Golf Tournament, Farm Scape, etc.
Cooperatively support and engage with all divisions with the management off-site and on-site promotions to cultivate relationships with sponsors, partners, and donors.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
B.A. or B.S. degree, Fundraising, Marketing, Business or two years related experience.
Communication
ABILITY – written and verbal
Ability to write grammatically correct well-crafted copy, letters and reports. Ability to speak
effectively.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to solve practical problems, and when to seek assistance. Ability to interpret a
variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing
software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Presentation software (such as PowerPoint or
its equivalent), and have a willingness to upgrade skills as needed.
MANAGEMENT ABILITY
Ability to manage interns in a supportive fostering environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Evening and weekend work will be required as directed by promotional and event schedule.
