Foundation is responsible for securing major philanthropic support for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. from alumni, friends, and corporations and foundations through active solicitations, strategy and management of the staff and resources dedicated to all fund raising efforts. The Director of Development works directly with the VP for Advancement and External Relations of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. on framing and executing strategic initiatives that impact the advancement programs of the university. The Director of Development also assists in the supervision of the University overall private fundraising program, including the areas of major giving, campaign planning, corporate/foundation giving, planned giving, and annual giving. The Director of Development also assist in the comprehensive campaign efforts and, in doing so, is responsible for the monitoring the timely implementation of campaign tasks and activities, reporting on campaign progress, and other campaign duties. Qualifications Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field is required for the Director of Development position, with a Masteru2019s degree in higher education or philanthropic studies preferred. The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in fund raising. Demonstrated successful experience in the cultivation and solicitation of donors. Knowledge of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) gift regulations, fundraising techniques and strategies, and accounting and budgeting principles and practices are strongly preferred. As a part of an evolving fund raising program, as well as a complex non-profit organization, the candidate should have an understanding of higher education development and the ability to understand and interpret financial data. Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and universityu2019s resources. Minimum Qualifications Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field is required for the Director of Development position. Preferred Qualifications Masteru2019s degree in higher education or philanthropic studies preferred.
