PAWNEE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES JOB DESCRIPTION Title of Position: Development Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Program: Administration Supervisor: Executive Director Supervises: None Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor\u2019s degree in marketing, business administration or related field and one year of experience in annual giving, capital campaigns, foundation\/corporate solicitations, deferred giving, communications and special events is required. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Fund raising-experience in a non-profit setting is strongly preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language, required. Must be able to operate basic office equipment and possess skills with Microsoft Office applications to efficiently carry out responsibilities including preparing correspondence, tracking data and making presentations. Results of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services. Essential Job Functions: Create, implement and maintain a comprehensive development plan with marketing strategies to acquire financial and other support for special programs, projects or general operations. Work collaboratively with staff members to identify avenues of economic support for programs\/projects. Aggressively seeks new funding sources and maintains relationships with current\/past donors. Identify and assist with the preparation of grant proposals. Represent agency in meetings with potential funding sources.\u00a0 Coordinate program of appropriate donor recognition and stewardship.\u00a0 Oversee the management of databases and all records, files and gift processing. Provide regular and ongoing reports to the Pawnee Endowment Board on fund raising efforts and results.\u00a0 Maintain knowledge of agency funding challenges, needs and plans.\u00a0 Maintain knowledge of the external environment as it relates to community mental health and substance use treatment systems. Assist with and make policy recommendations Maintain and advance knowledge and skills related specifically to position or to field of work through regular review of pertinent materials or participation in training events as approved by supervisor. Work cooperatively with other members of the staff in sharing resources and expertise in pursuit of the agency\u2019s mission. Adhere to the standards, policies and instructions established by Pawnee Policy and Procedure and any applicable ethical codes within field of employment. Review and comply with the Pawnee Code of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.
