Under the administrative direction of the Administrator, develops and implements all functions of a fund raising donor program for Carmel Manor which promotes the purpose and philosophy of the Carmelite Sisters. Plans and maintains public relation programs which develop and strengthen the relationship between Carmel Manor and internal and general community. Markets services and facilities of Carmel Manor to prospective residents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Raise gift money for carrying out the function of Carmel Manor through
o Annual Giving Programs
o Capital Fund Programs
o Planned Giving Programs
o Foundation, Business and Corporate Gifts
-Receive and acknowledge all gifts promptly.
-Keep accurate donor records.
-Interpret the home to churches, church groups and the community.
-Publication of newsletters, brochures, and other printed materials.
-Liaison with members of the news media.
-Responsible for departmental budget planning control.
-Development of audio-visual presentations.
-Develop and implement programs which promote the philosophy, services and facilities of Carmel Manor.
-Issue press releases while maintaining confidentiality of residents.
-Work with auxiliary group in fund raising efforts.
-Develop and maintain computerized mailing list.
-Market Carmel Manor to prospective residents through the development of an advertising program and community outreach.
-Continues professional growth through in-service meetings, current literature, and workshops.
-Knows procedures for fire and safety drills and participates in drills and emergencies as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with major in field of communications, or public relations preferred. Good oral and written communication skills required.
