About: Founded in 1897, the Alliance Française de Chicago is the second largest French cultural and learning center in the country dedicated to art, literature, language, film, cooking and education. Currently, AFC is looking to raise $5 million over the next 5 years to support increased programming and capital needs to celebrate its 125th Anniversary. Purpose: Reports directly to the Director of Development and supports all aspects of the Campaign. Responsibilities: Manage solicitation calendar Create donor profiles, including giving history, to prepare for individual visits Track pledges in Raisers Edge Keep campaign records organized and updated Create regular reports to keep staff and volunteer leadership apprised of Campaign progress Prepare and create acknowledgment letters Work with key stakeholders to assure timely follow up Manage and update prospect list Oversee all prospect research and donor qualification Assist with other development efforts as needed   Job Type: Part-time TO APPLY: Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter and resumé to: hr@af-chicago.org. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in fundraising required Proficiency with fundraising databases, especially Raiser’s Edge, preferred Ability to work evenings or weekends, as necessary   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of French language is desirable but not required Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Sense of humor and strong work ethic Excellent written and oral communication
