The Manager of Individual Giving will manage donor relationships and serve as team leader for Reveal the Champion program.  This position is based in Omaha and includes in-state travel.rnrnSUMMARY:rnrnUnder indirect supervision, serves as an ambassador for Special Olympics Nebraska.  Cultivates and builds relationships with current donors and reaches new donors.  Works to meet measurable revenue goals and metrics.rnrnDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:rnrnrntResponsible for cultivating existing relationships as well as generating new major gifts.rntBuilds cultivation plans for targeted donors.rntCoordinates tours of mission through Reveal the Champion program and serves as tour guide, which includes public speaking on a regular basis.  Conducts follow up calls and recruits ambassadors and volunteers, entering all dialog in the donor database.rntManages all aspects of Champions Together Ask Event, including table captain recruitment, video production, facility contracts, speaker recruitment and other arrangements.rntTracks all donor information and conversations in donor software, generating reports relevant to progress, impact and stewardship.rntWorks with Major Gifts Officer and President & CEO in generating metrics and clear goals for fundraising.  Reports regularly on work toward those goals.rntSchedules CEO meetings with key donors.  Keeps clear records of those meetings in donor database.rntFurthers the organization’s development program, including Lincoln as well as reaching outstate Nebraska when appropriate.rntWork cohesively with program departments in connecting donor desires to programs.rntRaises fund through other avenues when necessary, such as corporate proposals or grants.rntSpeaks regularly at business and organization meetings.rntAssists at program events such as state competitions as needed.rntTravels to appropriate state-wide events as well as national events.rntPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.rnrnrnMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:rnrnBachelor’s degree or comparable business experience.  At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, corporate sales or marketing.  State-wide travel and occasional weekend work is required.rnrnKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:rnrnrntProfessional dress/appearance and behavior.rntAbility to speak publicly on a regular basis.rntAbility to organize and prioritize work assignments.rntAbility to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.rntAbility to maintain a positive work environment.rntExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.rntAbility to interact effectively with leadership, donors, volunteers and the general public and media in a professional manner.rntAbility to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.rntComputer proficiency including knowledge of Outlook, MS Word and Excel.
