East End Academy is seeking a successful fundraising professional with demonstrated experience in designing and conducting on-going fundraising for East End Academy, a K through 5th grade private school serving under-resourced students opening in the fall of 2018 in Bridgeport, Connecticut DEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, March 9, 2018Job Title: Development ManagerReports to: East End Academy Founders & Head of SchoolPOSITION SUMMARYEast End Academy is looking to a hire a part-time Development Manager to design, develop, and implement a donor database, track meetings with donors or potential donors, and maintain correspondence and follow up with current and potential donors. The Development Manager will assist with raising funds for the school which will go toward general operating expenses or donor specified requests. A portion of the job will be to coordinate with board members, assist them to set up meetings with prospective donors, and follow up with these donors on their behalf by informing the donors of school updates, news, and any other pertinent information regarding the progress of East End Academy.Interested applicants should be proven fundraising professionals with 1 to 3 years experience in initiating and maintaining donor relationships. The ideal candidate will effectively collaborate with the Head of School, board members, and committee members to structure and coordinate all fundraising efforts. The school year will run from late August to mid-June with a summer session required for all students immediately following until early August. Each classroom will be staffed with one lead teacher and one assistant teacher to instruct a class of 18 students.
