Our donors, staff, and board support and advocate for collaborative funding and educational services that ensure affordable energy to Maryland households struggling to cover their utility bills due to economic hardship, medical expenses, etc. We serve a range of clients including low-income communities, senior citizens, and veterans. To learn more about our work at the Fuel Fund, go to: ****The Development, Marketing, and Communications team at the Fuel Fund is looking for an intern to assist the department with all aspects of development. This person will be a vital part of the team as we'll rely on their consistent efforts to stay up-to-date with data and finish assigned projects in a timely manner. This position reports directly to the Development Manager but will work closely with all department staff. Key Responsibilities of the DMC Intern: Assist with marketing & logistics of annual events including Operation Hon: Heat on Now and Third Party Fundraisers Research prospective corporate sponsors for the annual Operation Hon event Provide support for the Development Manager with ongoing activities such as prospect research for the Mid-Level Donor Program Enter donor data in company software, Salesforce Assist Development Manager and Director of Development, Marketing, and Communications with grant writing and updates Receives, sorts and files weekly acknowledgement reports Perform entry-level steps for donation processing Other development duties as assigned Qualifications: Proficient with Microsoft Office products including word and excel Clear communicator, self-motivated, flexible, and hard-working Comfortable speaking with donors and client groups we serve Familiarity with fundraising software or ability to quickly adapt Able to juggle multiple tasks Eagerness to learn about development and the nonprofit world in general Have a reliable form of transportation Must be a college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree at a local institution This is a part-time and unpaid internship. The DMC Intern will be required to work a maximum of 15-20 hours per week from our Baltimore office, accessible to 95 with free parking. Internship hours can be transferred into school credits (if allowed by institution). Applicants will be accepted until the position is filled with an expected start-date in September 2018. Please send resume and cover letter to the Development Manager at ****. Make sure to put DMC Intern with your name in the subject line.  HOW TO APPLY **** **** **Only emailed & completed applications will be accepted** ,
