Vice President of AdvancementACCEL (Arizona Centers for Comprehensive Education and Life Skills) is a private, nonprofit organization serving children and adults with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, behavior disorders and intellectual disabilities. We value qualified, enthusiastic candidates to join our team and share our commitment to assuring ACCEL is a place “Meeting Every Special Need.” SUMMARY: The Vice President (VP) of Advancement position is responsible for ACCEL’s internal and external communications, marketing and fundraising. The VP of Advancement will provide administrative and strategic oversight for ACCEL’s communications, marketing and fundraising programs. The job includes fund and donor development, foundation relationship development and management, information management, public relations and communications development, financial administration of the department and fiscal reporting while implementing fundraising activities for all ACCEL programs and services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Demonstrated success in securing major and annual gifts from fund development;- Demonstrated success in meeting annual fund goals, development management, sponsorships and special events;- Demonstrated relationships with various media outlets;- Demonstrated experience managing new and traditional media campaigns;- Demonstrated success in working as a member of a team and developing effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and donors;- Excellent written and oral communications skills;- Computer literacy and competency with electronic donor tracking systems;- Demonstrated success in soliciting and securing major gifts from individuals; and,- Strong knowledge of principles, ethics and practices of successful fundraising as well as the required confidentiality of fundraising efforts and donor information.EDUCATION AND\/OR EXPERIENCE:- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Related Field; Master’s Degree in Related Field Preferred.- Minimum five years of experience in charitable fund development; Ten years of experience in charitable fund development preferred.BENEFITS:* Competitive Salary* Comprehensive Benefits Package* Collaborative Work Environment* Paid time-off for Spring Break, Fall Break, Winter Break, and Federal Holidays.Visit us at www.accel.org For more information, to apply or if you are interested in scheduling an interview, please send your resume to email@example.com
