As Development Administrator for Just in Time for Foster Youth (JIT), you’ll play a vital role in helping our team meet or exceed our financial goals by enhancing the quality and impact of investor engagement. You’ll be at the heart of our efforts to cultivate, track and recognize the generous contributions that fund our services - processing donations, maintaining the integrity of our Salesforce database records, managing processes and systems to help us further our mission, and collaborating with other JIT team members as needed to create experiences that support our brand. In the process, you’ll help grow our community to help those we serve become confident, capable and connected to break the cycle of foster care. So here’s the challenge… During the first 30 days, you will: Learn JIT’s core values, purpose and unique theory of change for messaging, outreach, fundraising and communication with stakeholders and the community. Become familiar with all JIT services and processes including your daily tasks and assigned areas of focus in supporting JIT’s fundraising efforts. Learn JIT’s intended impact, database entry, and how your own strengths can be joined with those of other team members to achieve best results During the first 60 days, you will Ensure that all information is reviewed and updated, including investor names, addresses, phone, email, giving histories, affiliations, relationships, preferred method of contact, etc. Communicate effectively in person, by mail, email, one-on-one and in presentations to inspire and engage funders to support the JIT mission Manage all online and offline gift processing activities ensuring accuracy Appropriately acknowledge all gifts within 24-72 hours of receipt Provide an “extravagant” welcome, thank you, and recognition for supporters Ensure that the supplies are replenished and equipment is maintained On an ongoing basis, you will: Manage investor-related inquiries, process and file thank you/tax letters Process both unrestricted and designated gifts to ensure accuracy in Investor files, QuickBooks records and bank deposits Assist with Grant Tracking, Reporting and oversight of Grant documents Assist with execution of Quarterly Campaigns, Communications and Marketing needs, and mailing lists Assist with our annual Walk the Talk celebration and other events, including: investor management; payment processing, reconciliation, correspondence, and sales reporting; event logistics; and surveys. Assist with additional Development Department functions and needs, such as prepping for site visits, presentations, board meetings, etc. Core Values Just in Time is a values-driven organization so how a member of our team achieves results is as important as reaching the assigned outcomes.
