Job Summary\/Purpose: This position contributes to the fulfillment of the mission of Hospice House\u2014The Josie Harper Residence by establishing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to maximize philanthropic support. These responsibilities will include implementation and coordination of all donor campaigns, major donor solicitations, capital campaigns, grant research and grant writing, planned giving, event coordination and special projects. The position is responsible for successfully achieving the annual fundraising goal. Key Job Responsibilities: \u2022Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations. \u2022Assigns day to day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members. \u2022Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patient, unit and department needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met \u2022Manage performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Comm9itments using corrective action. \u2022In conjunction with the Executive Director, establishes annual and long-term development plans for Hospice House and, where appropriate, the Hospice House partnership consistent with the strategic plan to advance philanthropic support. \u2022Develops and maintains an in depth knowledge of Hospice House and the Hospice House partnership mission, programs, history, activities, resources, team, and fundraising needs and can persuasively articulate the needs to prospective donors, funding organizations and the community. \u2022Responsible for managing fundraising strategies and achieving annual goals \u2022Assists in developing tools and systems to support and advance fundraising capacity to include data management systems and prospect research. \u2022Prepares analysis of fundraising and financial results, and develops strategic and tactical recommendations. \u2022Maintains donor relationships and develops prospective donor relationships. \u2022In collaboration with donors, their families and\/or their advisors, prepare and present gift proposals that are consistent with the unique interests and circumstances of the donor. \u2022Supervises and monitors appropriate internal controls related to fundraising program. \u2022Prepares timely, accurate and useful reports for funders including Sponsor\/Partners, individuals, corporations and foundations. Required Education: Sys\/Div\/Mkt\/Local Manager \u2013 Bachelor\u2019s Degree and minimum of 3 yearsleadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in thediscipline OR Master\u2019s Degree and no experience Required License: Current driver\u2019s license Required Minimum Knowledge,Skills and Abilities: Minimum of three to five years of fundraising experience We\u2019re an equal opportunity employer.
